Conradev has discovered a hidden panorama mode in iOS 5′s camera app, which can be enabled by editing the “EnableFirebreak” key in com.apple.mobileslideshow.plist. If you’d like to try it out without digging into your system files by hand, check out the ”Firebreak” tweak in Cydia (thanks chpwn!).
We suspect that the feature is incomplete, but a future update to iOS 5 will likely enable it for the masses. Android 4.0 comes with a built-in panorama mode, so it’s great to see that Apple is planning to bring the ability to their mobile OS as well.
