Apple Launching EasyPay Self Checkout at Apple Stores

When we say “check out yourself,” we’re not talking about looking at yourself in a mirror. We’re talking about Apple’s new EasyPay service, which allows for you to check out products yourself at Apple Stores by using your iOS device’s camera and a custom checkout app.

Customers at Apple Stores will be able to use this new service soon, which presumably involves scanning barcodes of cases and other accessories with your Apple device’s camera and paying for them through the check out app that Apple will release to the App Store soon. Big ticket items like MacBooks will not be able to be purchased through EasyPay, however, for security reasons.
