Samsung Requests Deposition From Apple’s iPhone Designers

South Korean handset maker Samsung has requested for Apple’s iPhone designers to provide deposition in a Northern California courthouse, setting a deadline date of December 1, 2011. Jonathan Ive, Cristopher Stringer, Shin Nishibori, and former Apple employee Doug Satzger will be providing testimonies in front of the court that will later aid in the expedited trial that Apple and Samsung will be involved in beginning on July 30, 2012.

Apple first sued Samsung in April based on claims that the Korean electronics conglomerate had copied the look and feel of Apple products such as the iPhone and iPad. The litigation has spanned worldwide and has, thus far, resulted in the ban of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia and Germany.
