Report: AirPlay Mirroring and iMessage Coming to OS X Lion

According to sources for 9to5Mac, Apple may be working on bringing popular iOS features in AirPlay Mirroring and iMessage to Mac OS X Lion. AirPlay Mirroring allows you to wirelessly stream whatever is displayed on your iPad 2 or iPhone 4S to your HDTV via the Apple TV set-top box. The feature would be similar for Mac, allowing for you to mirror the video from your Mac onto a projector, television, or external monitor. QuickTime X will allegedly receive an update for AirPlay video mirroring support.

Apple is allegedly also working on bringing their new iMessage messaging service to Mac. As it stands, this new BlackBerry Messenger-competing service allows for you to send free messages from one iOS device to another over Wi-Fi or 3G.
