Nexus One Won’t Do Much for a Klondike Bar

Google has announced that the Nexus One—the original Google Google Phone—will not be getting the Ice Cream Sandwich treatment. Its sucessor, the Nexus S, will be receiving Android 4.0 “within weeks” as an over-the-air upgrade, but the One’s hardware apparently isn’t up to snuff to run the latest OS. Of course, 3rd party ROMs like CyanogenMod will undoubtedly port the operating system over to the 22-month old device, but don’t hold your breath for an official update.
