When the original iPhone was released over four years ago, it housed a two-megapixel camera—the norm for most camera phones offered at the time. Fast forward to the new iPhone 4S, which features an eight-megapixel camera, and you have a phone that dramatically outdoes its competition in terms of camera quality, features, capabilities, and so much more. In between those four years, we saw steady improvements made to the iPhone’s camera from the 3G to the iPhone 4. It’s quite amazing how much the iPhone’s camera has improved in such a short time. Keep in mind that the pictures above were taken with macro mode enabled.
