You’ve probably always wondered why Apple was named Apple. Well, it just so happens that Steve Jobs’ official biography covers that subject. According to excerpts that Wall Street Journal and Associated Press posted, when Jobs was wandering about the state of Oregon, he spent a good amount of time working at some apple orchards there. After returning from Oregon, he was enjoying a “fruitarian diet” and thought that “Apple” would be a unique and simple name, describing it as “fun, spirited, and not intimidating.”
While we’re on the subject of the company name, let’s take a look at their logos. Apple has had a few logos in the past, but their current one seems to be the most popular – as well as the most simple. Hit the break to check them out.
