Apple recently invited its employees to take part in a celebration of the life of Steve Jobs on October 19th at 10:00 AM Pacific on the Cupertino-based company’s Infinite Loop campus. It has now been learned that, according to 9to5Mac, the ceremony will also be observed by Apple’s retail employees through a live webcast in each store. As a result, Apple retail stores will allegedly close for one hour from 10 to 11 AM Pacific (1 to 2 PM Eastern) for the celebratory viewing.
That might not stop every Apple fan from watching the live celebration feed, however, considering that Apple’s flagship retail store on Fifth Avenue in New York City is entirely see-through because of its glass panes; it is very possible that there could be a very large crowd attempting to get a glimpse at the webcast from the outside. It’s unclear if Apple’s retail stores outside of North America will be observing this one hour closure.
