iFixit has dissected the iPhone 4S, revealing what we all expect: an A5 CPU, b/g/n WiFi chip, and a world-phone GSM/CDMA chip. Apple usually keeps the amount of RAM in their mobile devices a secret, but iFixit has concluded that the device house just 512MB—the same as its predecessor. Somewhat disappointing, but we’re sure it’ll be enough for most users.
We don’t recommend taking the iPhone apart yourself unless you absolutely need to, but iFixit does sell the hard to find tools needed to disassemble the device by hand. Check out the full teardown below for a look inside.
