Minecraft – Pocket Edition has been available on the Xperia Play for over a month now, in alpha stage, and will officially be released for all other Android handsets on Thursday, Sep 29th. There’s also an iOS version of the game in the works, as expected, but it won’t be released until the end of the year as PocketGamer reports. The game, which utilizes an on-screen directional pad and other multi-touch gestures, is $6.99 and will receive frequent updates from its developing company, Mojang, started by the game’s creator Markus Persson.
