Another Foxconn Plant Catches Fire, No Casualties Reported

A fire that blazed on Tuesday at a plant in Shandong, Eastern China belonging to Apple component manufacturer Foxconn has been successfully extinguished, and no casualties have been reported. Operations at the plant have already resumed per usual, as the fire only damaged the top floor and will be covered by insurance.

Electrical cables that caught fire on the building’s roof are believed to be the cause of the fire. A few months ago, an explosion occurred at another Foxconn plant in Chengdu, which assembles the iPad 2, and took the lives of two individuals.
