As reported by AllThingsD, Apple’s fall media event will take place on Tuesday, Oct 4th. The keynote is expected to be hosted by Apple’s new CEO, Tim Cook, in lieu of former chief executive Steve Jobs. Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 5 at the event, but might also have several other product launches in store such as an updated iPod touch, mid-range iPhone 4S, and refreshed iPod nano.
Tim Cook obviously has big shoes to fill in his new position, so there is significant pressure on him during this keynote to prove to the public that Apple can continue their success in the post-Jobs era. It’s important to remember that Jobs isn’t fully gone, however, as he remains as chairman of the board for the company that he founded. And, perhaps, Jobs might even make a surprise on-stage appearance.
