After a disappointing launch for Final Cut Pro X, Apple has issued a major update to the video production software alongside a new 30-day trial offering. The update makes a number of improvements to the program, including support for XML, GPU-accelerated export, and full-screen view in OS X Lion. Multi-cam editing and broadcast-quality video monitoring are two additional updates that Apple promises will be ready by early 2012.
The update, which is free, can be downloaded from the Mac App Store by those that have already purchased the initial version of Final Cut Pro X. The software retails for $299.99 on the Mac App Store.
