CM7 on the TouchPad Gets WiFi, Sound, and Accelerometer Support

The CyanogenMod team has made further progress with their port of Android to the now-defunct HP TouchPad. Last we heard, the team had successfully boot CM7 on the device, but some of the major hardware functions did not work properly. Now, the team has released a video showing that the tablet has working WiFi, sound, and support for the¬†accelerometer. The build is not quite ready for prime time, but it should be soon (of course, don’t ask for an ETA!). If you were able to pick up a TouchPad on the cheap, but don’t like webOS, stay tuned for further developments.
