The awesome CyanogenMod distribution of Android has been successfully ported to the TouchPad. 10-point multitouch, pinch-to-zoom, and graphics acceleration all function as expected, but additional work still needs to be done for complete hardware support. The TouchDroid project seems to have dropped the ball, so it’s great to know that the talented CM developers are hard at work creating builds for the TouchPad. Once Ice Cream Sandwich is released this Fall, the OS should be much more tablet friendly. If you managed to snag one of the uber-cheap tablets during the fire sale (but don’t like webOS) follow the CyanogenMod team for future developments.
