Due to the massive demand for the now-affordable TouchPad, HP has decided to manufacturer a limited run of $99 tablets to “meet unfulfilled demand”. Since the hardware has been discontinued, HP is likely just assembling and shipping parts that didn’t make it off the assembly line pre-fire sale. There is no word on quantity or when they will be available, but it should be a few weeks before the devices are ready.
