Evernote 3.0 for Mac, 4.1 for iOS Released

Developers of the well-known note app for iOS, Evernote, have today updated their apps for iOS and Mac with many new features including rich text, shared notebooks, and some Lion-exclusive features. The iPad and Mac version in particular got an entirely redesigned interface with this update which now looks – gray. No really, its true. As for the other features, they’re pretty amazing and fullscreen mode on Mac is very useful for those who need lots of space for their “note.”

Evernote for Mac changes:

OS X Lion:
● Completely redesigned interface
● New! Favorites Bar to quickly filter and search through notes
- Drag notebooks, tags and individual notes to the Favorites Bar for quick access
- Hide and show the left panel
● New! Fullscreen mode

All users:
● Numerous bug fixes and improvements

Evernote for iOS changes:

• Add rich text styles, lists and links to notes (iOS 4.2 and above)
• Edit existing notes containing simple styles (iOS 4.2 and above)
• Redesigned New Note and Edit Note screens on iPhone
• Access Shared Notebooks
• Tap an image in a note to launch a slideshow
• Premium users can lock Evernote with a passcode
• Search within individual notes
• Redesigned iPad look and feel
• iPad: Pinch and zoom into the note list
• iPad: Support for multi-selection of notes for easy sharing and deletion
• Numerous interface improvements and bug fixes
