AT&T Covertly Installing LTE Equipment in Apple Stores

AT&T is secretly installing LTE equipment in Apple stores, which could potentially be used as a microcell to give 4G-enabled iPhone display units better signal when being tested by customers. There has been no confirmation that Apple is releasing an LTE capable iPhone model, but evidence supporting this rumor was found hiding in .plist files earlier this week. Since most areas do not yet have 4G coverage, it would make sense for Apple to install mini-towers in stores to give users an idea of what kind of speeds are possible on the next-generation network.
