John Martellaro over at the Mac Observer has calculated the size of Apple’s proposed headquarters, which will be located near the existing location in Cupertino, California. When overlaid on top of the Pentagon, it becomes apparent how massive the building will be. A rough estimate puts the HQ at 1615″ in diamater, which is larger than the Empire state building and longer than a nuclear aircraft carrier.
The building will contain 12,000 employees in 3.1 million square feet, and will be powered by its own dedicated power grid. Steve hopes to have the campus completed sometime in 2015. Updated renderings of the building were published earlier this month.
