SEGA’s ‘Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games’ is Out!

SEGA has brought us a stripped-down version of ‘Sonic and Mario at the Olympic Winter Games’ for the DS, including in the iPod touch version just Sonic and his friends.

Sonic’s gone solo with this title, breaking away from Mario to take part in four events: skeleton, curling, figure skating, and snowboard cross.

They all seem pretty familiar, especially figure skating and snowboard cross.

Skeleton, for those who don’t know, is simply a pipe-racer, where you try to collect as many coins as you are able to whilst racing down a long pipe.

It comes packed with just 10 players, including Sonic – Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, Eggman, Vector, Blaze, Metal Sonic and Silver.

You can also play against your mates via Bluetooth or Wifi.

Although the content seems quite limited, SEGA mention a ‘Village Store’, where you can apparently, using the rings you’ve collected, purchase new items and addon packs.
