Gmail for Mobile Updated with Pull to Refresh and More

Gmail for mobile devices has been updated with Tweetie 2′s now famous pull to refresh feature and retina display optimization. This adds to the Google+ web interface that has had the feature since its release. Google has also added a few additional features to their mobile mail web interface today, head past the break to read more about them.

Retina display compatibility
Gmail now has higher resolution icons for the iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4′s retina displays. There is also a slight change in the icons themselves as well, see the illustration below.


When you tap on a conversation, tap back to the inbox, go to the menu or go back, the view will slide left or right. This new transition animation is a quick, small indication that makes the view change feel smoother.
