iPhone 4 Price Drops As Update Approaches

Both Radio Shack and Target have begun to drop the price of the iPhone 4 in anticipation of the release of its successor, which is due to be released this Fall. Target has discounted the handset by $50 on a 2-year contract, and Radio is offering $100 credit for the trade-in of a previous iPhone model on top of a $30 price reduction, bringing the device to just $69 on contract. The iPhone 4 is still the usual $199 through Verizon and AT&T, but the carriers may decide to lower the price when a firm launch date for the iPhone 5 is set.
