It happens everytime a new product is nearly here. Just a day before the rumoured Apple Tablet is released, two new sources have appeared.
Firstly, this from CNBC:
From 2:50 onwards, the CEO of McGraw-Hill says:
Yeah, Very exciting. Yes, they’ll make their announcement tomorrow on this one. We have worked with Apple for quite a while. And the Tablet is going to be based on the iPhone operating system and so it will be transferable. So what you are going to be able to do now is we have a consortium of e-books. And we have 95% of all our materials that are in e-book format. So now with the tablet you’re going to open up the higher education market, the professional market. The tablet is going to be just really terrific.
In other news (from TUAW), an already-in-existance iPhone developing company, Stand Alone, Inc, claim that they’re making a crossword game for a new Apple device. They say:
The main constraint in developing a Crossword app for mobile devices has been the distinct lack of screen real estate. We have been anticipating the Apple tablet as the greatest piece of hardware for App developers since iPhone itself, and Crosswords will be even better on the new device
Boom – Tablet news.
