4G Enabled Sprint Galaxy S II Hits the FCC

Samsung’s new flagship handset has make its way through the FCC, bringing it one step closer to a US release. Sprint’s model, the Within, will feature WiMAX in its impressive specs sheet, but it’s still unknown if Verizon will be able to brag about the same. The device will also be available on AT&T as the Attain. Despite the identity crisis, the three models are expected to be identical, though the internal cellular chips will obviously vary for GSM and CDMA carriers.

An official release date for the Galaxy S II has not been set, but it is expected to land stateside in August.
