Welcome Google+ to the iPhone

After being held up a little longer than expected, the official Google+ app has finally been released to the iPhone via the App Store. All Google+ users can now access their stream, circles and huddle anywhere using their iPhone. The iPad and iPod touch are not currently supported and there is also no video or voice chat on the iPhone version yet, but these features are expected in the future. Why the iPod touch is not supported is unknown, but shouldn’t be hard to get around with a jailbreak tweak or two.

Go grab the app now here. Keep in mind that Google+ is currently invite-only.

App Store Description:

Google+ for mobile makes sharing the right things with the right people a lot simpler. Huddle lets you send super-fast messages to the people you care about most. And no matter where you are, the stream lets you stay in the loop about what your friends are sharing and where they’re checking in.

* Circles let you share the right things with just the right people.
* Stream is where you can get updates from your circles or see what people are saying about things nearby.
* Huddle is super-fast group messaging for everyone in your circles.
