Apple’s Data Center Appears on Google Maps

Google has decided to update their maps with some lovely satellite photos of the new Apple data center. This data center has been the key part of many an Apple rumor, as it has been under construction for a while (and plans for it date back even further). Though it’s gigantic, and supposedly stuffed with the best servers money can buy (could it just be a ton of Mac Pros running Mac OS X Server?), nobody knew what it was for.
With this week’s confirmation of the iCloud cloud service, it seems likely that we are looking at the gigantic backbone of the entire service.
