Have you ever bought a screen protector only to become extremely frustrated shortly afterwards? If you’re like me, you’ll find that screen protectors can be one of the biggest nuisances to apply onto your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch. I have gone through a countless number of screen protectors and protective films because of pesky air bubbles and dust. Most companies include a squeegee card and microfiber cloth to help combat these problems, but it’s usually not good enough.
Thankfully, Moshi offers a selection of patented screen protectors that they guarantee to be one-hundred percent bubble-free. For the iPad, this is the matte iVisor AG and the crystal clear iVisor XT. Moshi also advertises these screen protectors as being reusable and smudge-resistant. Are these claims true? Are these screen protectors really that good? Let’s take a look!
- Folder – To store your iVisor
- iVisor – One crystal clear or matte screen protector is included
- Nonstick Sheet – A white plastic sheet is included to keep your iVisor free from dust while being stored
- Microfiber Cloth – For removing dust
iVisor AG for iPad is an anti-reflective screen protector specifically designed to protect the iPad’s multi-touch screen while reducing smudging and fingerprints. It has a semitransparent, matte finish that is extremely smooth on your hands. At the same time, this matte finish isn’t entirely transparent and takes away some of your viewing ability on the iPad’s screen. There is an EZ-Glide finish applied to the iVisor so that it’s easier to maneuver your hands on the screen. This smoother finish definitely takes some time to get used to, especially when playing detailed games that require swiping, tapping, and sliding.

There is a black trim around the edges of both iVisors that matches the bezel on the original iPad. This trim is somewhat thicker than the matte plastic in the middle, which means that when you tap or swipe on your iPad’s screen, it’ll feel cushioned. It almost reminds me of one giant air bubble that encompasses the entire iPad screen, but fortunately it doesn’t really impede the touchscreen sensitivity.
A closer look at the iVisor’s black, sticky trim
The question that I was most curious about was this: how could this screen protector be both sticky and reusable at the same time? Like other screen protectors, I figured that if you messed up the first time, it would be garbage. At first, I assumed that the black strip around it was slightly magnetic. But, after much thought, it seems as if it is just a material that is attractive because of missing electrons. It’s a naturally sticky material that reminds me of saran wrap.
iVisor XT (crystal clear) on the iPad
iVisor XT for iPad is similar to the AG version, but it’s fully transparent and, as a result, is not anti-reflective; however, it’s equally as resistant to smudges and fingerprints and is just as easy to put apply on your iPad.

One of the greatest things about the iVisor screen protectors is that they are reusable. They can be washed, dried, and reapplied instantly. This is great if you get any unwanted dust or debris onto the protector. This is a major advantage for the iVisor as the majority of other screen protectors are for single use only and can lose their adhesiveness very quickly.
Value For Money
The iVisor AG and XT screen protectors are equally priced at $30† with free ground shipping within the lower forty-eight United States. While this might be more expensive than other screen protectors, especially free ones that come with cases, its definitely an investment that you will not regret.
The iVisor AG & XT are compatible with most iPad cases
The simplicity of putting this screen protector makes it worth every penny spent. Plus, you don’t have to throw it out if you don’t put it on the screen right. You can take it off and try again (and as many times as you need to) until you get it right.
Moshi did an excellent job with their bubble-free iVisor screen protectors and they rightfully deserve the high recommendation that I give them. They’re the best and easiest screen protectors that I have used with any of my Apple devices and will continue to use them for a long time! If you’re tired of those pesky air bubbles, check out the iVisor!
