Dev-Team Now in Control of 4.3.1 Untether

i0n1c has handed over his untethered 4.3.1 exploit to the Dev-Team for jailbreak tool-ification. We’re not sure if they will be waiting for the next iOS release to make the jailbreak public, but it is no longer up to i0n1c. The Verizon iPhone is still stuck on 4.2.6, so if the exploit is burned before the firmware catches up, Apple will likely patch the hole. This is obviously not an ideal situation, but Apple hasn’t mentioned when the VZW iPhone update will be released.

The iphone-dev-team is already beta-testing the untether. So it is up to them to give you your tool of choice.

Please don’t bother the dev-team now. The deal is: if the beta test is successfull, they are free to do whatever they want with it.

As mentioned, please do not bug the devs for an ETA.
