Today’s Google Doodle is an Accelerometer-Controlled Submarine

To celebrate Jules Verne’s 183rd birthday, Google has transformed the doodle on their homepage to a submarine from his book 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, that can be controlled by an accelerometer. (Alternatively, motion-incapable users can navigate the sub via the mouse and keyboard.)

The dynamic doodle works on all iOS 4.2+ devices, as well as other gadgets that feature an accelerometer and have a browser that can handle CSS3 (including the Macbook Pro).

Most users rarely visit the Google homepage, so make sure to check it out.
