News Corp’s highly anticipated subscription-based newspaper app, The Daily, is now live on the App Store. The Daily is published 365 days a year and, utilizing the in-app purchase functionality, offered for the price of $0.99/week or $39.99 annually. Rupert Murdoch, CEO of News Corp, was in New York City today for the 11 AM EST launch party. “New times demand new journalism,” said Mr. Murdoch. “So we built The Daily completely from scratch — on the most innovative device to come about in my time — the iPad.”
