Apple has finally released the Mac App Store, which features over 1,000 applications ready to be downloaded with just a few clicks (though, most are already available direct from the developers). The primary benefit is the organized interface and peer review system, as well as the debatable advantage it gives developers.
Like its iOS counterpart, the Mac App Store will likely redefine the standard price for applications—for example, Aperture is now available for just $79, discounted by a whopping $119.
